How to run 100 miles is a video directed by Brendon Leonard. It is a story based on the journey of two friends running 100 miles. They faced a lot of problems. Jayson got kicked out of school and the councillor said to him “that school is not for people like him”. Jayson went to community college and got a degree as a motivational speaker. When Jayson was 3 year old his mom divorced his dad mom had to look after six children and she never gave up even when things were very hard. Jayson has dyslexia,he was bullied at school he was always fighting he join the wrestling team and didn’t win a competition until after two years. Jayson never gave up.

The writer's purpose for us to inspire us to “Never give up” like Jayson, how he struggled in his life and he proved that there is nothing that  people can’t do. Jayson encourages people to do well. Brendan said in the video that “He doesn’t like running but he likes a challenge ”the writer's purpose for us is to  show us how true friendship and supporting each other is. Support  also comes from friends and family.

I thought the movie was good because it inspired me to never give up and the friendship that Jayson and Brendon had was strong.Towards training for the race they supported each other. One of the things Jayson said was “Never think of things you can’t do, think of the things that you can do ”, that quote took my attention because it  made me think, to not  think about the negative things but focus on the positive things.

At the beginning of the video, I felt that the video will be boring but I carried on watching it during the video. I changed my mind and I thought Jayson has been struggling with a lot of things but he never gave up in the end it inspires me a lot to do my work and try hard to have a good education and a better future. The movie encourages me to not give up in my school work Brendon said “Training for a marathon is like training to do an exam at school”. I also liked what he said “You have to put the effort in and the only person who can do that is you”.

The character that impressed me the most was Jayson. What happened with Jayson in high school when he was kicked out of school and his councillor said to him “ That school is not for people like him” but Jayson proved him wrong he got a degree as a motivational speaker at the community college. He became a successful person by motivating and inspiring  people who  have experienced what he went through in the past. Jayson never lets anything get to him as he is always positive and encouraging.

The story of Brendan and Jayson running 100 miles reminded me of my teacher, Mrs.Gopperth also told us about her story of running 100 miles with her friends. Both stories are pretty similar because Mrs.Gopperth also completed the entire race with her friends. Her friends were there to support her to finish the race and like Brendon and Jayson their friends were there to support them too. They supported each other and did not give up. It's the same when Mrs.Gopperth’s friends also supported her throughout the race and she completed it. In the movie lesson 2 says “It’s going to be a struggle at times” that way Brendon, Jayson and Mrs Gopperth were struggling to finish the race. They completed the race with their friends supporting them. What  I learnt  from this movie and Mrs Gopperth is they never gave up, they did their best with the help of friends supporting them.

MATHS

My favourite subject at school is Maths 

I like Maths it is mentally challenging 

I like the way the circles and numbers move

I like the numbers when they add up

Maths is not only about equation there is also algebra, 

Perimeter area ,volume and trigonometry etc

Maths is like science it deals with shape, quantity,pattern and arrangement

Maths is all around us, in everything we do

We all need  Maths to help us in our daily lives

When I am working on a Maths assessment

I get so nervous and my pulse starts racing

When I am doing  my Maths work on my computer

I am in total solitude

I have self acceptance working on my Maths

I feel like I am in another world

I find that Maths is fun and relaxing

Working alone on my Maths is not disturbing to anyone 

and not being a bother 

I love the way Maths brings out

the inner professor in a student

Maths is  used in all subjects

Maths is so cool

It is not a subject for fools

Maths stands for 

M=Mentally

A=Affected 

T=Teachers

H=Harassing

S=Students

This is my video blog about Tomorrow When The War Began.

 

My favourite character was Ellie because she did a lot of thing in the movie. She is the leader in the group and she did most of driving.she was the only one who killed the solider in the beginning.  

We made this Kahoot but we are not allowed play it because of law restriction.This is not fair because we put a lot of work on it now we are not allowed to play it.

DANIEL X

I chose this book because the cover looked nice and colourful. The book has some great pictures.

The story so far is about Daniel when is 3 years old, he saw his mother and father killed by an alien.

     

My impression about the book so far  it is very interesting and I will continue to read the book to the end.

I predict that Daniel will find the alien that killed is mother and father and take revenge.     

The part in the book that I am up to is Daniel meeting his friends there and names are Willy, Joe, Emma, Dana, Jackson, to hangout in the jungle and they are asking  each other questions.

I read the book to the end and I didn't like it. I was confused and I didn't understand the story.The pictures is really good but story I didn't understand at all.

 Amulet (The storekeeper's curse)








I started a new book and the  book is called   Amulet . I am reading part two because I couldn't find part one.  I am half way through  part two. I don't understand what is happening in this story because I am reading part two. I will continue to read the book till the end and then I will go to the library and find part one. I liked the book it was real I will carry on reading the rest of the other books.There are is book altogether

I am still waiting for part one. I have part three and I am reading it and I only read 3 pages because the librarian  teacher is so busy that way I came late to class and I can't read so much.
